OVERVIEW
Kathryn possesses both public and private sector experience gained over 30 years. Kathryn’s early career began at British Telecom. She has held operational management roles in the publishing industry and HR roles within chemical and manufacturing environments. She has held a range of NHS OD & HR roles at both regional and local levels.
APPROACH
Kathryn’s 1-1 style is challenging but empathetic, working holistically with clients to create ideas and craft new ways of thinking, seeing and being. Using penetrating questions as well as a range of creative methods, working with Kathryn is a rich client-centred and supportive experience.
With teams, Kathryn explores group dynamics and supports individuals to get beneath the unspoken. She uses a range of creative practices to unlock hidden assumptions. At the centre of her work is the power of reflexive practice and learning, situated in the challenges of today's complex world.
KATHRYN WINTERBURN
PERSONAL
She holds a MA in Management Learning and Leadership from Lancaster University. She has published in the field of leadership development and action learning. She is co-associate editor of the international Journal of Action Learning Research and Practice, a member of the CIPD, ODN Europe and EMCC. A writer and poet, she is currently undertaking a MA in Creative Writing. Kathryn has served as a Trustee and Chairperson at a Children’s Hospice in West Yorkshire.
Outside of work she enjoys photography, wide-open spaces, walking, gardening, art and theatre.
