OUR COACHES

OVERVIEW

Charles spent the first thirty years of his working life within the international corporate world including senior roles in purchasing, sales, commercial and operations management. Sectors included manufacturers and retailers, some family owned and some American and Scandinavian owned. Working cross culturally created opportunities to learn how to negotiate through diverse approaches and agendas.

Latterly Charles has been working within the broad arena of ‘Change’. This has spanned project management coaching, developing teams facing change and especially 1-1 development.

APPROACH

Listening is key – hearing people’s stories and then working through questions which hopefully unlock what is behind the stories and what needs to be different. Deep change and personal development are never easy but can be achieved through building a strong relationship and mutual commitment to hold each other in the process.  Inevitable key ingredients in the work include honesty, challenge and courage – courage will especially be required – to explore, experiment and work outside established norms in order to make the change and move to the desired difference.

PERSONAL

I enjoy a richly fulfilling life (despite becoming a widower a number of years ago) which encompasses family, friends travel and culture. I have a busy family life – three grown up sons with their families including five lively grandchildren. I also continue to explore the world with extensive travel – most recently, Africa, Asia and Australia/New Zealand (sometimes chasing children and friends as they move around the globe!). Avid reader of fiction and obsessive record collector!
