OUR COACHES

ANGELA LOCKWOOD

OVERVIEW

Angela is currently CEO of a Housing Association based in the Northeast. Her work experience is extensive having worked in several different types and sized organisations and at different levels, including at Board level as an Executive and Non-Executive. Currently her Non-Executive roles include, Chair of Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, and a Board member of the National Housing Federation and Mears PLC.

She is an experienced leader and understands the challenges of being a CEO in an increasingly volatile environment and the responsibilities of being an effective NED. She has personally worked with issues of gender and difference and has extensive experience of working with complex relationships and knows that the path to success is far from linear. She is deeply committed to personal development through exploration, curiosity, and challenge. Angela’s organisation has a strong reputation for the development of its culture with relationships and trust at its heart.   She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds an MBA from Newcastle Business School.

APPROACH

Angela offers 1-1 coaching and mentoring, drawing on her own past and current experience of working in organisations. She provides a mixture of challenge and support in a structured environment. Angela is very committed to working with people to understand their issues and supporting them to find a way through. She completed a coaching and mentoring accredited ILM training programme in 2019 and since then has constantly practiced with a wide range of senior people.

PERSONAL

Angela is a keen walker with a particular love of Northumberland. Her Sealyham Terrier Gryff rules the roost and has her wrapped around his little paw. She discovered genealogy during Covid and has spent some time trying to link her family with royalty; this search remains outstanding and is likely to end in disappointment! Angela loves current affairs and is an interested observer of politics.
